Brother Alfred F. Block (Al)

Brother Alfred F. Block (Al) , Son of Brother Douglas Block, passed away to the Grand Architect of the Heavens on July 11 of this year. Brother Al petitioned our Worshipful Lodge on October 6, 1953, was Entered into our Fraternity on January 26, 1954, Fellow-Crafted on February 23, 1954 and Raised to the Sublimed Degree of a Master Mason on May 4, 1954.

He was a honored Fifty-Year member having received his Fifty-Year Service Award November 2, 2004 by the District Deputy Grand Master during the District A Visitation.

He was a great supporter of the Lodge and we will miss him and he will always hold a place in our hearts as truly a Brother.

 

Brother Past Master Abraham "Al" Merion

Brother Past Master Abraham "Al" Merion passed away in April, 2008.

Brother Past Master Abraham ( mostly known by all our Brothers as "AL" petitioned our Lodge on April 5, 1955, received his Entered Apprentice Degree on June 7, 1955, was Fellow-Crafted on September 27, 1955 and finally Raised to the Sublimed Degree of a Master Mason on October 25, 1955.

He served as our Worshipful Master in 1967 and was a Brother to us for some 52 years! He held the coveted position of Most Senior Past Master for several years.

During his time with us, his son Ron joined our Brotherhood in 1964 and remains a valuable member as well.

Brother "Al" will always hold a place in our
hearts as truly a Brother.

 

Brother Sam Kanis

Brother Sam Kanis has passed away April, 2008.  Brother Sam was very active in our Lodge when he was feeling well as Steward as well as chairing several committees.

Brother Sam petitioned our Worshipful Lodge on December 6, 1988, was Entered on February 28, 1989, Fellow-Crafted on April 25, 1989 and Raised to the Sublimed Degree of a Master Mason on May 23, 1989.

A Masonic Funeral Service was held on Wednesday April 23,2008 with the participation of 10 Brother Masons.

Brother "Sam" will always hold a place in our
hearts as truly a Brother.

 

Brother Dusty ( William ) Rhoads Sr.

 Dusty (William) Rhoads Sr. passed away after a long bout with heart problems. He had been on the waiting list for a replacement heart but it never came.

He petitioned our Worshipful Lodge on October 7, 1980, was Entered into the Fraternity on December 2, 1980, Fellow Crafted on January 6, 1981, and Raised to the Sublimed Degree of a Master Mason on May 26, 1981.

Brother Dusty was a long-time avid Amateur Radio operator operating under the sign of ND3Q and usually you could find him on the 2 meter band.

A Masonic Funeral Service was held on Saturday January 12th, with the participation of 10 Brother Masons.

Brother "Dusty" will always hold a place in our
hearts as truly a Brother.

 

Brother Alvin Eckell 

Sixty-One Year member passed away on October 16,2007.  

Brother "Al" Petitioned our Worshipful
Lodge on April 2, 1946, was Entered into our Fraternity on May 9,
1946, Fellow-Crafted on June 24, 1946 and Raised to the Sublimed
Degree of a Master Mason on March 25, 1947.

Brother "Al" was very active in our Lodge by being a long-time committee
member of the Permanent Fund as well as the Sick & Shut-ins. He always
enjoyed giving out boxes of candy to those he would visit.

Brother "Al" will always hold a place in our
hearts as truly a Brother.

 

Brother Hirsch, Robert J.

Thirty-Six Year member passed away on February 26, 2007. 

Brother Robert J. Hirsch petitioned our Worshipful Lodge on September
1, 1970, was Entered into our Fraternity on November 17, 1970,
Fellow-Crafted on January 26, 1971 and Raised to the Sublimed Degree
of a Master Mason on February 23, 1971.

Brother Robert will always hold a place in our
hearts as truly a Brother.
