March - Benedict Arnold

Benedict Arnold paid a visit to our Lodge during the March, 2008 Stated Meeting and those members in attendance were treated to an exquisite presentation. I am certain many of us were not so very well informed about Benedict Arnold's life and his role during the Revolutionary period.

October - Table Lodge

The Table Lodge of October 7th ,2008 was attended by over 62 brothers, of whom 26 were from our own Lodge.  It was wonderful to note that a majority of lodges in our district sent representatives to our District Visitation night to honor our District Deputy Grand Master Robert A. Ciampitti, Sr., PM, who presided over the Table Lodge as the worshipful Master.  Among the attendees, was Brother Robert Burns PM., (incoming District deputy grand Master ) who presented a short history of The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania; Brother Frederick W. Noesner, who dressed as a colonial soldier and told us about the life and events in Philadelphia during the revolutionary war; Brother P.D.D.G.M Carl D. Homan, PM, who impersonated Brother Marquise de Lafayette, who told us about his life, his relationship with George Washington and his love for our country, The United States of America.  This was a historic evening for our Worshipful Lodge.

October - Ladies Day

The Ladies event of October 11th,2008 was another great success, thanks to the hard work of Brothers William J. Demko Jr., PM; Frank Machles; Raymond L. Bush, PM; and Daniel P. Martin, PM.   42 Members, with their Ladies and a few visitors were in attendance.  It was an added pleasure to see that some of our members, who have not been able to attend our stated meetings due to business commitments or other justified personal reasons, join us on this occasion.
Our "Athelstan Ladies" and friends expressed not only their great enjoyment of the tour, but also how lucky our Lodge is to be able to meet in such a beautiful and historic location.  The lunch that followed was also excellent and all those present were able to socialize with old friends and new ones.
